I primarily work with adults and couples. I use an integrative approach (schema focused therapy, attachment based therapy, Emotion focused therapy, Solution-focused therapy) to help my clients find solutions and face challenges that negatively impact their lives.

My experiences have made me equipped to work with adults struggling with behavioural disturbances related to depression, anxiety (social anxiety, panic attacks, stress), relationship issues (familial, romantic), trauma, abuse, suicide risk, self-harm, and life/developmental transitions.

Life is full of surprises, sometimes difficult experiences, and unique challenges. Asking for help is a great strength. I have experience and a keen interest in supporting teens, adults, and couples who face concerns such as emotional management, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief, addiction issues, burnout, relationship difficulties, life transitions, domestic violence, or past traumas such as sexual abuse, incest…

As a counselor, I strive to create a safe and nurturing space, free from judgment, where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with ease. I am committed to listening to you with empathy and being present at every moment. My goal is to support you in achieving your objectives, fostering growth, resilience, and a better understanding of yourself to improve your emotional and relational well-being.

Since every individual is unique, I adopt an integrative approach centered on the person. My techniques are inspired by the humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, impact therapy, as well as narrative therapy and the Gottman method for couples.

I offer my sessions in person, online, and over the phone. Our first session will involve building a connection by answering your questions, understanding your needs, and developing therapeutic goals.

I hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology and value professional development by participating in training workshops. I maintain an interest in research to stay informed about the latest theories and evidence-based interventions in my field.

I believe that the tools needed to modify a behavior, a train of thought, or to bring about a change in oneself are within oneself.

My approach lies at the intersection of psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and existential approaches, in addition to transactional analysis.

I believe that strengths and hobbies can be useful and essential in the healing process.

In my practice, art is often used, such as drawing, writing, poetry, and music, to understand and express the challenge at hand.

“In the autumnal events of my own experience, I am easily fixated on surface appearances – on the decline of meaning, the decay of relationships, the death of work. And yet if I look more deeply, I may see the myriad of possibilities being planted to bear fruit in some season yet to come.” -Parker Palmer

Together, we will engage in self-exploration, and my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and warm space to learn, develop, and achieve your goals. As a therapist in training, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for you, to listen fully with respect and care, and to work together to discover how you can move through the problems that brought you here to find paths toward your best life possible.

As an older person I draw on lived experience. I care that we find ways beyond limiting beliefs, that LGBTQIA2S+ issues shape a positive definition of self, that women find ways to move more freely in the world, and that those who are growing older continue with self-growth and finding meaning.

I draw from psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioural therapies and take an integrative approach to align how we work with your present circumstances and needs. I have experience working with those who have issues with anxiety, negative self-talk, boundary-setting, life transitions, aging, and loss. Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced. - James Baldwin

Starting therapy for the first time or returning to it can be daunting, and taking that first step requires immense courage. By being here and reading this bio, you have already made that important first step. As your therapist, I am dedicated to meeting you where you are, listening to your needs and goals, and encouraging insights to help incorporate meaningful changes in your life.

It’s crucial to feel a good match with your therapist. If you don’t feel understood, accepted, and appropriately challenged, you might not have found the right fit. In my practice, I mainly use psychodynamic, mindfulness, attachment, relational, and humanistic therapies. This means we will explore how your past and present experiences contribute to your current challenges, both directly and indirectly. In our fast-paced, quick-fix world, taking the time to slow down and explore your inner world can be incredibly healing and humanizing.

My role as a therapist is to continuously learn how best to listen to my clients. This requires specialized training, practice, and creativity, which I gained during my academic journey and continue seeking.

Additionally, I have gained valuable experience working in community mental health settings and hospitals. While my professional knowledge is important, my personal journey as a queer individual and therapy client informs my practice, making me a well-rounded and down-to-earth therapist. I approach sessions with authenticity and humility, encouraging deep reflection while ensuring your safety and comfort.

I provide individual therapy sessions for young adults and adults (ages 16+) in both French and English. I am available virtually, in person, or over the phone. I mainly work with the following issues: - Interpersonal challenges - Codependency and attachment issues - Self-esteem/Self-worth - Trauma (including sexual violence and religious abuse) - 2LGBTQIA+ related challenges - Borderline personality disorder - Anxiety - Depression - Existential issues - Life transitions - Work related stress

I know the idea of trusting someone with your innermost thoughts, feelings, and impulses can be scary, awkward, and intimidating. Maybe you’re feeling stuck in your life and it’s left you feeling depressed and hopeless. Maybe you’re looking for new ways to relate to your emotions, improve your relationships, and find greater joy and fulfillment in your life. I’ve been there - I have sat in the client’s seat.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. The strength of the working relationship we build is essential to growth and healing, and I strive to create a safe, culturally sensitive, and compassionate space. How we relate to one another can teach me about how you relate to others in your life, and may help us identify blind spots and patterns that no longer serve you.

I don’t see myself as the expert in the room. Rather, I cater my approach to your unique circumstances, actively seeking your collaboration. We each bring unique lived experiences, identities, and acquired knowledge to the process.

I draw from Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Polyvagal Theory. Through these modalities we can explore how the dominant stories in your life contribute to you feeling stuck, draw insights from your emotions, improve your relationship to yourself, and learn the language of your nervous system and how it impacts the way you relate to others.

I have primarily worked with university students and young adults with concerns around anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-worth, emotion regulation, interpersonal difficulties, developmental trauma, and LGBTQIA2S+ related challenges. I draw from my lived experiences, personal journey in therapy, and ongoing professional development to best serve you through this process.
